We wanted to share with you some of the emails we have received from the first event:

Hi Bonnie and Steven,
We'd love to be the first to bid on one of the 3-cups of Tea. We'd like to pay the Buy-it-Now price for Jeannie Niehaus' set #2. Please let us know if the set is ours at $125, and the "check will be in the mail", or will be dropped off. Too bad we can't be here for the event on Feb. 14th; we'll be with you in spirit. Carolyn arranged to notify 20 in our book club of the event. We'll forward the bidding sheet on Monday to them, or when it is ready to go. We wish you the best, Rod & Carolyn

Hello - What a wonderful idea - and the cups are terrific! I would very much like to make a donation. Can you contact me so that we can arrange that?

I received an email from my sister Patty in Carmel Valley who also read the book and has a friend in Aptos. Amazing what can happen on the internet. - Ann

We read this book for our book club and it inspired us to join Women for Women to help educate women in less fortunate countries. We also wanted to contribute to this group, so this is a good way to do that. Congratulations to Bonnie & all of the potters and the others involved in putting this fund raiser together. It shows we can all do something to help!! Thanks - Ann

I would like to bid $140.00 for Coeleen Kiebert's mugs. I am actually doing this for a dear friend who lives in Montmarte, France! I introduced her to the book and she donated it to the American Library in Paris. She used to live in Santa Cruz. - Joanne
